East Families: Today we will be using our Rainy Day Pickup Plan to help students and staff avoid the rain at dismissal.
Car riders will be held inside until buses depart at 2:50pm. Once buses have left, we will use the bus lane for car pickup. Please stay in line and pull up in front of the building.
East Families: Two quick reminders to help our students and staff.
First, please send your child with an extra mask or two to keep in their bookbag. Many students have required replacements when a mask gets wet, dirty, or breaks.
Second, please send your child with a water bottle each day. We use filling stations instead of water fountains and having a water bottle is an important part of the day.

Unity High School is looking for a special education aide for the 2021-2022 school year. Interested individuals must be at least 19 years old and have an associate's degree or higher, 60 semester hours of college coursework, or their paraprofessional license. Unit 7 is looking for 2 special education teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. One position is located at Unity East Elementary School and the other is located at Unity Junior High School.
Requirements: LBS 1 Certification Ideal candidates will have experience working with students with low incidence disabilities, the ability to supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for paraprofessionals, and have the ability to create a structured, organized, and routine-based classroom setting.
Salary will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience as determined by a competitive salary schedule.
Applicants living outside of the school district may have their children attend Unit 7 schools tuition-free.

East Families: A friendly reminder that tomorrow is early dismissal at 11:15am, followed by parent-teacher conferences from 3:00-9:30pm.

East Families: Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16, Unit 7 schools will be using our district eLearning plan. School will be closed and students will work from home using learning activities that were sent home in advance.
Teachers are available by email for questions and support. Additional information will be provided by classroom teachers regarding expectations for the day.

A quick update on our Read-a-thon at East. Our students are doing a fantastic job with their reading and have read for over 56,000 minutes since we began! And thanks to our many supporters, we have also raised over $12,000 in donations for our school! The Read-a-thon continues until Friday, so keep encouraging your student to enjoy more reading this week!
